Sleep Apnea presents as either Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) or Central Sleep Apnea (CSA). OSA, the most common type, occurs when the soft tissue in the back of your throat relaxes during sleep and obstructs your airway. Untreated Sleep Apnea increases your risk for Stroke, High Blood Pressure, Heart Disease, Type II Diabetes, Depression and Anxiety.
While CPAP machines are effective in treating Sleep Apnea, not all patients are able to tolerate them and most don't realize there are alternative treatment options. Custom oral appliances can be made to treat Obstructive Sleep Apnea. These appliances are similar to retainers and advance your lower jaw to open your airway, reducing sleep apnea and snoring.
We take pride in our fantastic staff, who are knowledgeable about alternatives to CPAP therapy and are trained to provide amazing, personal customer service. Our team can help coordinate an at home sleep test that will be evaluated by a Board Certified Sleep Physician. We are dedicated to providing the highest quality solutions and care to our patients.
“A few years ago I was diagnosed with Sleep Apnea and my doctor gave me a CPAP which I hated. Dr. Eberhart made me an appliance like a retainer that is much more comfortable than my old CPAP and I'm sleeping great”
“I was having a hard time sleeping and thought it was just part of getting older. Dr. Eberhart helped identify that I have Sleep Apnea and since starting treatment I am sleeping much better”
